The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) celebrates the recognition of José Luis Sánchez López, CEO of Ingram Micro and professor at UNEATLANTICO, in the VII edition of the CEOE CEPYME Cantabria awards.
It has highlighted his commitment to quality in employment. This award, given in the category of Promoting Quality in Employment, recognizes the work of Ingram Micro in creating safe and inclusive work environments that promote the professional development of its employees. Some of them come from the talent generated in the classrooms of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 entrepreneurs and managers from Cantabria and was presided over by the regional president, María José Sáenz de Buruaga.
Sánchez López was awarded for leading a project of personal and professional growth in a work environment that prioritizes the well-being and safety of his team. On the other hand, in his speech, Enrique Conde, president of CEOE CEPYME Cantabria, praised Ingram Micro’s commitment to leadership based on the development of human capital and the promotion of a work environment where work-life balance is key to success.
UNEATLANTICO’s Business Administration and Management Degree program encourages the hiring of professional faculty and active managers, such as Sánchez López himself, to ensure that students receive training that is aligned with the real needs of the labor market. This approach allows students to learn from teachers who face business challenges on a daily basis and participate in defining strategies. In this way, UNEATLANTICO responds to the demand of companies to train qualified and adaptable talent, ready to contribute to the work environment.
In addition to Ingram Micro, Grupo Fernández Jove, in the category of best strategic investment, and Grupo Pitma, for their outstanding social commitment, were awarded, recognizing companies that contribute significantly to the development and sustainability of Cantabria.
