The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) successfully held its fourth edition of the Table Tennis Tournament, in which Sophia Gamero Sandoval was crowned champion in the women’s singles category and Jorge Flich Gonzalez was crowned champion in the men’s singles category. Fernando Soto and Jessica Pilar Guerrero are the runners-up in their respective categories.
The event had a great participation and enthusiasm from the university community, promoting sport and healthy competition in an atmosphere of fellowship. UNEATLANTICO continues to support this type of initiative to promote physical activity and the sporting development of its students.
Organised by the Physical Activity and Sports Service (SAFD), the sports facilities of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) hosted the fourth edition of the UNEATLANTICO Table Tennis Tournament in the last week of February.
Under a format in which players had to win three sets, with eleven points and a minimum advantage of two to win each set, the tournament was held over two days: the first was dedicated to the group stages, while the second hosted the grand final of the IV UNEATLANTICO Table Tennis Tournament.
The Physical Activity and Sports Service will continue to organise tournaments and various activities to promote physical activity in the university community.
