Isabel Diego, professor in the area of Psychology at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), is part of the organizing committee of the XV National Conference of Psychology against Gender Violence. This important event will be held for the first time in Cantabria, on November 21, 22 and 23, at the Palacio de Exposiciones de Santander.
This conference, promoted in collaboration with the Official College of Psychology of Cantabria with the support of the General Council of Psychology of Spain, aims to raise awareness about the importance of establishing healthy interpersonal relationships. They also seek to highlight those forms of gender violence that have remained silenced, offering tools and strategies to prevent, detect and address new manifestations of this problem, especially in the younger generations.
During the event, there will be workshops on the prevention and management of violence, as well as presentations focused on scientific updates on this topic. The main topics include transgenerational gender violence, the impact of this problem in the field of sports, the situation of women in the elderly, obstetric violence, gender violence in the perinatal stage, and the analysis of the evolutionary and psychosexual stages of adolescence, among others.
These conferences are of special relevance for the university community of UNEATLANTICO, particularly for students of the degree in Psychology and the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology. In addition, UNEATLANTICO students who wish to participate will have access to a special price. The Official College of Psychology of Cantabria will also issue certificates of attendance, which will be valued for the validation of credits in UNEATLANTICO.
This initiative, led by Isabel Diego, is part of the actions that UNEATLANTICO promotes in favor of equality, contributing to strengthen a university community whose values respond to the needs and challenges of today’s society.
