Deadline for entries to the 9th UNEATLANTICO short story competition open

The ninth edition of the Short Story Contest of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) is now open to the entire university community (students, PDI or PAS) and will run until April 23rd, on the occasion of the Book Day, while the awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday May 7th.

The competition is organised by the University Library, which continues to encourage creative and literary production, while promoting written language as a tool for the expression of feelings and concerns. In this way, it maintains a link with the creative and personal world of each of the contestants, with the aim of promoting cultural value and literary dissemination.

Anyone wishing to participate may send up to three stories per person, to be sent by e-mail to: biblioteca@uneatlantico.es in WORD format files with the subject ‘IX Certamen de Relatos Cortos UNEATLANTICO 2025’, together with the participant’s pseudonym.

The stories must be written in Arial font size twelve, the length of the story can vary from a single line to two pages on one side and must be highly original and unpublished. For more information about the competition, please click here.

In deciding the winners, the jury, composed of professionals and members of the university community, will assess the interest and coherence of the written story, its creativity, originality, clarity, structure, syntax and spelling. The three best stories will be selected for finalist status. The first place winner will receive a gift voucher worth €200, while the other two will receive a gift and a diploma.

We encourage the entire UNEATLANTICO community to participate and not miss out on this opportunity. If you have any questions, please contact the Library.
