Cope broadcasts its programme live from the European Atlantic University

The students of the degrees of Journalism (PER), Audiovisual Communication (CA) and Advertising and Public Relations (PRP) met in the auditorium to learn first-hand how a live radio program is broadcast.

The COPE radio programme was moved to UNEATLANTICO for broadcast from its auditorium. The journalist Cristina Jimeno began the transmission in conversation with Jesus Peña, general secretary of UNEATLANTICO, who expressed his enthusiasm for the beginning of a new academic year that has approximately 850 new students, a figure that reflects the sustained growth of the institution. He also highlighted the cultural richness of the campus, which has students from more than forty countries in the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa, emphasizing the value that this diversity brings to both students and teaching and administrative staff.

During his speech, he also announced future projects, including the construction of a new university residence to expand campus accommodation capacity.

The vice-rector of research at UNEATLANTICO, Juan Luis Martín Ayala, then highlighted the importance of research as a tool for the production and transfer of knowledge. He also highlighted the important growth that the university has had in recent years and pointed out that the career with most demand today is Psychology followed by (CAFYD).

To conclude the broadcast, several students shared their university experiences. Jimeno spoke with Paula Díaz-Velarde, fourth year journalism student; Alex Elvira, dual degree student in Advertising and Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication; Leonor Lazo, second year in Advertising and Public Relations; and Daniela Esteban, Colombian student, who is studying his final year of journalism at the European Atlantic University, through a bilateral agreement between UNEATLANTICO and the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Colombia. The participants presented their point of view and their personal experiences, how their university experience at UNEATLANTICO has been and what it has brought to them both personally and in their development towards the professional field.

With activities such as this, UNEATLANTICO reaffirms its commitment to the practical training and integration of its students in the professional environment of their respective degrees, allowing them to see and evaluate the different job opportunities.
