Ariadna Siri, graduate student of UNEATLANTICO, participates in the XVIII Congress of Physical Activity and Sport.

The graduate student, Ariadna Siri Schuchner, of the degrees in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) and Psychology (PSI) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) attended the XVIII Congress of Physical Activity and Sport held at the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC) in Barcelona.

The congress, held from June 13 to 15, was organized by the Associació Catalana de Psicologia de l’Esport (ACPE), under the slogan “Sport, Welfare and Health”. In this, there have been presentations in which different topics such as mental health, performance, education, disability, gender and new trends were discussed. To touch on these topics, Ariadna gave three oral presentations and made a poster.
In her first presentation, Ariadna highlighted the implementation of a project she is carrying out together with Real Racing Club de Santander, called “Racing vs Bullying”, which is a preventive program that is being carried out in schools in Cantabria, aimed at primary school children to prevent bullying.
During the second presentation made by Siri, the former student of UNEATLANTICO, presented an intervention carried out in the ESPADE Program (Special Attention to Sports), which included sessions of psychology oriented to sports and the correct combination with studies.
In his third presentation, based on his final degree work at UNEATLANTICO, under the tutelage of Dr. Carlos Lago, director of the degree and Florent Osmani, professor of the degree in CAFYD, Siri presented a poster showing the analysis of the effect of fatigue on decision making in field field hockey. It should be noted that the oral presentation was focused on exploring whether there are gender differences in this area.
Siri adds that with the experience of participating in the XVIII Congress of Physical Activity and Sport “I take many new ideas to continue working and proposing new areas of work in our community”.
