Dr. Frigdiano Álvaro Durántez Prados, director of the FUNIBER Chair of Ibero-American Studies and Iberophony and professor at the European University of the Atlantic, gave the conference Ibero-America, espaço de concertação e cooperação em processo de reformulaçao this Monday in Lisbon. A Iberofonia. The activity was part of the Advanced Course on Latin American Studies promoted by the Department of International Relations of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL) and the Portuguese National Defence Institute.
During his speech, Professor Durántez highlighted the immense possibilities for collaboration in all areas offered by Ibero-America and the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries as a whole, of which FUNIBER’s educational, cooperative and cultural work is a notorious exponent.
In this sense, as director of the FUNIBER Chair and professor at UNEATLANTICO, the doctor from Madrid praised academic collaboration with other similar institutions in order to facilitate debate and the exchange of ideas, as well as to disseminate knowledge.
Durántez Prados has been participating for several years in this prestigious cycle that brings together leading figures from different countries in the Iberophony Space and is led by Dr. Nancy Gomes, considered the leading Portuguese specialist in the Ibero-American System of coordination and cooperation. Professor Gomes is currently the scientific coordinator of the Degree in International Relations at the UAL, where she also coordinates the recently created OEI Chair in Ibero-American Studies.
