Ainhoa Bores, professor in the Degree of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), has recently been interviewed on Cadena SER deporte Cantabria to talk about her article entitled ‘External Load Evaluation in Elite Futsal: Influence of Match Results and Game Location with IMU Technology’.
In his speech Bores explained the details of the research that has been carried out, using GPS devices, to evaluate the external load in high-level futsal players, as well as the influence of match results and game location on these parameters. In the case of this research, the GPS device used was ‘Oliver’.
This study, which fuses technology and sport, aims to provide key information for the optimisation of performance and physical preparation in professional players of this sport. Likewise, the UNEATLANTICO professor highlighted the potential of technological tools to provide accurate data to make strategic decisions in training and competition.
With her participation in this programme on Cadena SER, Ainhoa Bores has brought this innovative research to the general public, highlighting the importance of science applied to high performance sport. A valuable contribution that demonstrates the commitment of UNEATLANTICO and its teachers to research and scientific dissemination.
