The professor of the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), Adrián Rodríguez García, revalidated his title of Spanish Skeleton champion.

Adrián Rodríguez won his third consecutive gold medal at national level. The race was held in the German town of Winterberg, coinciding with the celebration of the first European Cup of the season.

Skeleton is an Olympic winter sport that forms part of the different modalities of downhill sledging, together with bobsleigh and luge. In skeleton competitions, participants descend down a steep and risky ice slope using a small sled. The sport stands out as the world’s leading sliding discipline.

At the moment, the UNEATLANTICO teacher is also continuing his skeleton career by participating in the highest category of the World Cup and measuring himself against the best a year before the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina 2026, where he aspires to fight to qualify for one of the 25 places in the world.
