UNEATLANTICO has carried out the flu vaccination on a voluntary basis

The Universidad European of the Atlantic has carried out voluntary flu vaccination for teaching and administrative staff and students of the UNEATLANTICO Residence.

This was due to the Ministry of Health of the Government of Spain emphasizing that “this year, more than ever, it is especially important to get vaccinated against the flu”. Thus, the health information recommends that this year the flu vaccination campaign should be applied to as many people as possible due to its parallel with the pandemic brought on by COVID-19. The Governing Council of the University, decided to pay for the flu vaccine for both its staff and students staying at the University Residence.

As previously mentioned, this was voluntary decision. To this end, a form was delivered in which all relevant information about the vaccination was provided. Similarly, those interested in the vaccine had to fill out a form to provide their consent and make an appointment.

The vaccination period began at the end of October by the Ibersys Occupational Risk Prevention Service. This was the same company with which the rapid tests were carried out. The vaccination took place in the Campus and University Residence facilities.

This voluntary vaccination, is added to the other measures carried out in UNEATLANTICO to avoid the propagation of COVID and guarantee, as long as it is in our hands, the health of students, the teaching staff and administrative personnel.
